Yesterday, I went to the ‘Pop Punk’s Not Dead’ Tour in San Francisco and it was freakin amaziiiiinnnggggg! Waiting in line wasn’t bad at all and I actually made a friend who was into the same bands that I am (which is always nice). We finally got into the venue and the wait went fast! This Time Next Year was up first and I was really excited to see them again since its been so long! I loved their setlist but wish they played ‘Spoontonic’ and ‘Note’ instead of ‘Bad Habits’ and ‘Curtain Call’. Anyways, good performance as usual! Next band was Man Overboard and they were pretty good. I’ve listened to some of their songs before but never really clicked to them as much. I do admit, they have good stage presence. The Wonder Years was up after them and I always wanted to see them live! I am sad they didn’t play ‘Solo & Chewy’! But I loved how they played a good amount from “The Upsides” and “Suburbia” albums. Soupy was freakin going insane on stage and it was cool how he kept singing to me since I was hella singing back! He reminds me a lot of Nick from the TV show ‘New Girl’. Haha. Set Your Goals played after and I was glad to see the Bay Area Boys back in their hometown! They played all my favorite songs. And of course, they put on an amazing performance. I hope they really take their next tour to San Francisco cause I am dying to see The Story So Far for the first time and this Time Next Year again! I mean, they are all Bay Area Bands! They have to play in SF! That is just wrong if they don’t! And finally, New Found Glory was up!!!! Oh man, just hearing the entrance music got my heart racing! I was filled with excitement! Then, they all run on stage in their positions and opened up with “Intro”. It was pretty weird having it be the first song they play and not like 2nd to the last song before “My Friends Over You”. It was freakin awesome how all of them remembered me!!!! Even though I don’t have my mustache as hairy as before, they still recognized me! Each of the members kept singing back to me and I was seriously just going all out! I loved how Ian was wearing a “Ross The Boss” T-shirt!!!! Even though he is a Marlins fan, he was repping the Giants!!! Freakin awesooome! It was funny when Jordan first went to our section and he looked at me and I did the mustache pose and he looked confused and then he remembered. LOL. I guess he remembers me by my long hair and hairy mustache. Same thing went for Chad when he went to our section hahaha. Also, I am really happy they played ‘Summer Fling’ instead of ‘Radiosurgery’ haha. During their talking segments, Jordan sat down in front of us and he talked about Mustaches and he pointed to me and did the Mustache Pose! And what’s even more awesooome is that they got it on camera and said they were are going to be in the next tour video!!!! I really hope that segments gets on the Tour Video cause it shows the Mustache Crew is reppin SF to the fullest! In the end, I came out with Steve & Ian’s picks (gave Cam my Steve pick), Cyrus drumstick and a Setlist!!!! Hell yessss!! As for the merch, I only bought 2 shirts. I was surprised I didn’t buy a hoodie but I wasn’t really feeling the design. And I was debating on getting the jersey but I figured I can probably get it next time. Overall, the concert was full of energetic songs and there was never a dull moment. NFG announced that they are doing a tour Summer so I cannot wait for that!
